Jeannine Frumess is a private tutor specializing in math, writing, and test prep strategies. She has been tutoring professionally since graduating Vassar College (B.A. in English, 2009). Over the years, she has worked with 200+ students at all levels of ability.
Jeannine grew up in New York City and is both personally and professionally familiar with how stressful it can be to navigate the system. Her goal as a tutor is to support her students and make school and test prep manageable while helping them build confidence and hone the skills they need to succeed on their own.
Alex Schoenfeld is a standardized test tutor and math teacher. One of his specialities is the SHSAT, which he started tutoring as a senior at Columbia University in 2013. He has taught the test in one-on-one, small group, and large class scenarios, and he has a record of guiding students into their first-choice specialized high school.
Alex grew up near Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended an arts high school, where he focused on songwriting. Upon witnessing New York City’s brutally competitive education system as a tutor, he set out to make test prep less stressful and more fun for his students.
If Jeannine and Alex do not specialize in your particular subject, fear not! They are joined by a team of awesome tutors who complement their skillset. Together we teach nearly every academic subject at all levels.
